It's been a very nice couple of weeks for Ramon which is probably why he looks in such a relaxed mood. There is coffee and a big cigar and the sports pages of some Portuguese newspaper. Despite that, he is entirely botherable.

Benedict walks casually down the stairs, pausing before he reaches the bottom, to look over the bar and its patrons. He continues down and makes his way down, heading outside where he finds a rock overlooking the lake. He drinks in the peace and the quiet.

He would enjoy any company.

After depositing a note at the bar, Random straightens and glances about, still on his toes.

Family does that to him. A rat is flagged, a mug of tea is ordered.

Random, Prince of Amber strides into the bar.

We mention the prince part today because he's moving like one. Furious, on his toes, like the world will fucking get out of his way if it knows what's good for it.

A deck of cards it clutched tightly in the palm of his left hand. He's settling into a seat and ordering, in clipped words, a scotch.

Random's actually coming to the bar by choice this afternoon. Namely, because he has some reading to get done and this is a good place to get some extra time. Jack is perched anxiously on a chair, rocking it back on two legs, one hand holding the edge of the table, the other fiddling awkwardly in spare fabric.

And also watching the door.

Mary Anne was playing solitare earlier, but that got boring. So she switched to building a card house. When that fell down, she went back to solitare. Then a few hands of blackjack against herself.

Now, she's just shuffling continuously while she watches the room. She probably wouldn't say no to an opponent at cards, or just someone to talk to

Fiona has been in the Bar for a little bit, but after finishing her Moscow Mule (thanks to Mal), she has retreated somewhat. A booth, well-lit, and she's curled up with a book.

Perhaps Milliways isn't the best place to read, but sometimes you just need to be surrounded by people.
